## Description

The Skar Audio EVL-10 D4 10" dual 4-ohm subwoofer redefines the conception of low-end sound reproduction. The engineering that went into developing the EVL series is simply amazing, and it shows in the sound quality and performance that this subwoofer demonstrates. The EVL Series can deliver incredibly accurate and powerful bass, due to a variety of advanced design features that make this subwoofer unique and in a class of its own. Conservatively rated at 2,000 watts peak power, the EVL-10 D4 features a massive high flux, double stack ferrite motor structure - which delivers the driving force behind the tremoring lows this subwoofer can produce. Combine the motor with the black coated 3" high temperature voice coil of this driver, as well as the advanced air flow cooling design of the basket, and it quickly becomes evident why this woofer is capable of being played at the highest levels of output for hours on end. Furthermore, the high roll foam surround incorporated into the design of this subwoofer is one of the reasons it can produce those ultra-low-end frequencies with such responsiveness. The suspension design of this subwoofer features the EVL's signature red, single damper, two-layer spider - which connects to the coil former with premium stitched lead wires. All these incredible features make this EVL subwoofer the unequivocal choice when looking for a high-quality car subwoofer. Review: Used this to replace the blown subwoofer in a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 sound system. I'm still in the process of breaking in this new speaker, but from what I hear already, this makes the sub sound better than what Klipsch made it originally — much better sounding deep bass. I've one more copy of fully functional ProMedia 2.1, and I'm seriously considering swapping the sub on it with this as well! For those of who you'll be attempting this swap, remember that the speaker connectors on this are of different size than what the stock Klipsch speaker used, so be prepared to order a set of connectors to modify the original wire (or just solder the wire). This speaker is also a dual-connector 4 ohm one so connect the leads in serial (connect one set of + and - using a wire directly), and then use the remaining + and - for the original Klipsch amp's connectors. Other than that a snug drop in replacement. You'll need to ditch the original metal grill afterwards. See the attached photo for the installed version.

**Q: Best amp for one?**
A: The surround on my evl 10D4 wired to 2 ohm ripped with them being on the brutus BRX2016.1D. (1400W @ 2 Ohms) So "Conservatively rated" probably means its for the amps that don't put out the claimed power.

**Q: How many cubic feet of air space does this sub need in a ported box?**
A: Check with manufacturer

**Q: I just got got a pair of these with a 2,000 wat amp but was wondering if it would be better if I got a 4,000 amp instead since they 2,000 max each?**
A: Match the RMS wattage on your amp to your subwoofer the max is not as important as RMS. Also try to stay within 85% of RMS wattage. So if it's a 1000 watt rms sub you can get away with 1,150 watts or 850 watts rms on your amp. Any lower won't give you the boom you want any higher you risk the coils getting burned (ruined or blown out subs are the result). Hope this helps.

**Q: Would 2 of the skar audio evl series 10in 4ohm fit properly in a premade jeeppro box that is made for 2 10s?**
A: Go on soars website for the dimension of the sub to see if it will properly fit and be of appropriate size for the subs themselves

Used this to replace the blown subwoofer in a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 sound system. I'm still in the process of breaking in this new speaker, but from what I hear already, this makes the sub sound better than what Klipsch made it originally — much better sounding deep bass. I've one more copy of fully functional ProMedia 2.1, and I'm seriously considering swapping the sub on it with this as well! For those of who you'll be attempting this swap, remember that the speaker connectors on this are of different size than what the stock Klipsch speaker used, so be prepared to order a set of connectors to modify the original wire (or just solder the wire).
