**Q: Is there a bottom or back?**
A: Yes the switch is fully enclosed except for the side you enter with the wire

**Q: These are listed as being rated for 275A continuous, but the manual this switch comes with says its only 200A continuous. Which is the correct rating?**

The item you recieved is On-Off battery switch, and the pamphlet you recieved is 1-2-Both-Off battery switch, so sorry for the issue casued to you, the pamphlet may be mixed by our worker.
Fot the item you purchased X001H8MQTX (On-Off battery switch), the continuous rating is : 275Amps DC.

Also below are some tips for you to install the switch:
The 2 terminals are same, no negative and positive. Just like a switch, connected to the switch on both sides so when you flip the switch it cuts the circuit. 
More, recommend to install this cut off switches on the negative, not the positive (lower current in negative, will be more safety). 
The switch can be install in the negative wire, another short battery cable or cut existing cable and attach terminals on each end.

**Q: How far from battery can it be installed?**
A: Mine is 2 feet from the battery, I don't think it matters. Your cable size will have to increase the further away from the battery that you install it.

**Q: If the switch is on off (red) is the battery not drawing or the disconnect is not engaged and battery still drawing? Over thinking I'm sure.**
A: battery 1 to switch,battery 2 to load side if you are using battery 2 too power stuff. if switch is off then battery 2 will power your things and not draw from main battery 1. To charge battery 2 turn switch to on then turn off when its fully charged if that makes sense

Just what I needed

The post are definitely not 10mm. Seems like not so much a problem until you try to fit it into a camper where every battery connection is 10 mm and most a routed through the van. Every standard battery connection is 10mm and each of the 5 cables I have attached have had to be painstakingly drilled out in situ to get them to fit. It’s not badly sized 10mm connectors, they range in age from 29 years old to a set of connector from Amazon and a new earth lead from Halford yesterday. I don’t normally write long reviews but when a misdescribed advert leads to a job taking three hours instead of five minutes I simply have to. If you have existing 10mm connectors I would suggest buying a switch from someone that can measure! Update. It stopped working (thankfully stuck “on”) after about three months. Just getting around to sorting as the leisure battery is now dead and remembered to update the review.
