It's perfect. The rug is washable so is THIN, and this pad gives it just enough cushion to be comfortable in my family room. It was just a little longer than the rug, and was very easy to cut down. The bottom is no-slip, so it works on my hardwood floor. The top is felt and adheres to the rug just fine. Would recommend it to go with this run (or any other thin rug). LOVE the rug, too, BTW. If you are looking for a washable area rug, you can't go wrong for the price. Rug and padding were less than 1/2 the cost of a Ruggable, which I have in my LR.
