Mine has stood up to 3.5 years of abuse of working around the homestead, mowing, working on cars, landscaping, swimming. Pretty much Apple Watch everywhere I went in this case and it has done a great job of providing protection. A month or two ago I noticed some of the rubber was getting brittle and starting to crack. When chunks started coming off I decided it was time for a replacement. It has done a pretty good a job of protecting the screen from scratches, but I still have a few light scratches and 2 deeper ones. The latest one was totally my fault. I put my hand under a spare tire on gravel and pushed the tire along with my hand under the car to put the spare tire away. There regularly seems to be dust, dirt and other debris between the case and the watch, however the finish of the watch has not been greatly affected despite only cleaning this out every few weeks by taking it apart and cleaning everything with soap and water and allowing it to air dry.
