I've had my snakes going on 3 years and have had no problems with mites. Keep in mind, I have not tried any other product. Sorry I couldn't be more help. **Q: Why is this bark arriving wet, moldy, and mushy? Is this normal?** A: The bag is alway damp inside but I’ve never seen it get mushy or mold. Once the bag is opened the bark dries.
