If you want something like stoneware, you’re going to be disappointed because these are basically plastic. Think of these as a sustainable alternative to paper or foam plates. These ticked all the boxes for me. They’re super easy to wash and dry by hand, I don’t mind toting them outside and inside because they’re so light, they’ll survive being dropped, and I like the pattern. For me, these are a win all around, and I’ll probably get another set or two so we can use them when we have people over.

**Q: Are these unbreakable?**
A: Nothing is completely unbreakable, but these are melamine dishes, which are difficult to break.

**Q: Are these loud?**
A: No, I believe because they are a form of heavy duty plastic, they don’t make the same loud noise ceramic makes when using utensils and setting them down on a table or surface.

**Q: does the food slide off of these i had a set by gibbson when walking to the table pizza slide to the floor?**
A: Lol... never had that happen. And I just ate pizza off it today !

**Q: Why isn’t it microwave safe? What happens if put in a microwave? Does the paint leak or does it break?**
A: Melamine is a type of plastic resin that when heated will leach chemicals into your food. This is why it’s dishwasher safe but not microwave safe.
