Review: A truly useful plastic balisong trainer - This is a really great balisong/butterfly knife trainer that cannot be mistaken for something dangerous. The balance on this is just like an expensive balisong so doing a fan is easy (if you can do a fan on any balisong). I put a white dot of whiteout on the weight at the end of the "blade" to make rollovers and release maneuvers easier to track. The price is great and if you drop it it just bounces so to learn tricks this a great starter.

He’s 13 and has chemo every month so he’s not allowed to do normal things like go outside and longboard or anything he used to do so these trainers are a good distraction. They are also lightweight and less painful when they hit knuckles than the metal ones. I don’t have to cringe when he drops it on the floor like the heavy metal ones. He watches videos of tricks and he dropped the previous one a few times and it never loosened or broke. This is a gift for his birthday so he hasn’t used it yet but I did open this one and the best feature from my perspective is it’s quiet and doesn’t make any noise! It appears just as sturdy as I was expecting after seeing the white one. Both times they included a sticker of their logo that’s worthy of going on his laptop so that’s a nice touch. The price is not cheap but it’s not made in China. There are no other pvc trainers I could find so you are also getting something nobody else is selling. I doubt my son will be doing tricks with a real metal knife anytime soon so this is perfect. And now it’s quiet too!

**Q: How good is the grip?**
A: it’s a little bit slippery compared to most trainers but your fingers will adjust quick just don’t eat anything greasy before flipping😂😂

**Q: Does this grind the bite handle indicator like the picture shows?**
A: No because it is a rubber band.

**Q: Is the logo on a the handle a sticker or is it etched/engraved?**

We no longer have the logo on the handles anymore. Our logo is now engraved onto the blade near the pivots.

My son got the white one for Christmas and it was his favorite present. Unfortunately it was lost while moving. I picked up balisong trainers around senior year of high school, as a fidgeting option. Started with pens, broke those, moved on to some unsharpened metal and similar plastic trainers, but they always broke. Bought one of these August '21 and I've been using it constantly since. No drop, throw, or fumble has chipped the handles or blade, it still spins fluidly and without tough or loose spots. It's It's light, it's slick, it's lasted 3 years, buy it!!
