## Description

The DGS-1100-16V2 16-Port Gigabit Smart Managed switch is designed to meet the requirements of small, medium, and enterprise business networks. Compliant with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), the switch consumes less energy by cutting down on power consumption when port utilization is low. It also features D-Link Green technology that helps save energy automatically. The switch can be managed by an intuitive client-based utility or a web-based management interface. The web-based interface provides a user-friendly way for network administrators to manage the switch down to the port level. The switch supports 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, Bandwidth Limiting, and Link Aggregation. Advanced security features include Static MAC, Storm Control, and IGMP Snooping. It also features Loopback Detection and Cable Diagnostics to help network administrators find and solve network problems quickly and easily. Backed by D-Link’s Limited Lifetime Product Coverage and US-based support. D-Link will repair or replace defective hardware for as long as original purchaser owns the product or 5 years after discontinuation. Internal power supplies and fans have a 5 Year warranty. **Q: If I use port 5 for example as my uplink to the router can the management UI be turned off for this port?**
A: This is an advanced switch with level-2 features. Unfortunately, I don't think this switch has this option. You would need a true managed switch for that feature. Those switches are expensive.

**Q: can this be set up for private Vlan or Port Isolation?**
A: This D-link switch is a powerful level2 switch with many useful features. Yes, it does support that feature.

**Q: Do these support snmp v2/v3? 
need that to monitor it via nagios.**
A: I believe it does support snmp since it is a plug and play model.

**Q: Does this switch broadcast lldp data including chassis id and port id?**
A: Yes
