Including the Dealer Code?? Am I given total access to the software as a DIY buyer?** A: You provide all user codes (passwords). The installer code password is fixed. The system utilizes firmware to operate, and you can make virtually all modifications (passwords, environment, etc) either via the keypad or via CADDX software and cable if you have them. **Q: Does this allow for auto arm/disarm ?** A: Yes it will allow you a to set a time to arm and disarm. **Q: How to integrate home automation? Works with any smart keypad?** A: This unit does integrate with home automation controllers although I am not sure what a smart keypad is. You will need to check the compatibility with the type of home automation controller you own. I use Vera and there is a plugin that communicates with the NX-8e and it can be connected via a network cable(requires an extra piece of equipment) or using RS232 cable directly connected to a vera home controller. I will say that to connect it to a Vera home controller you will need some technical expertise. It isn't trivial by any means but once I got it connected it has been solid.
