My boyfriend and I have taken the ring off one case to put on another, numerous times, and we've never had a problems. Just rinse the sticky side under running water, let it dry and it will stick like new. We both have iPhone 6 pluses and those phones aren't the lightest and I have a mophie battery pack on my phone and it holds fine. **Q: Does it stick well to an Otterbox Symmetry case?** A: I don't see why it wouldn't, it sticks extremely well on my cases. I have two, one on each device and before I had 2, I tried taking one off and it was extremely difficult. Once you stick it, make sure you want it where you place it. Very we'll made, very good adhesive. **Q: how long did it actually take before the ring loosen up? losing its ability as a stand?** A: My ring came off after about a week, just in my hand. I actually just stuck it back on, didn't even wipe it off with a moist towel as they recommend.
