**Q: I bought this for my 2001 dryer but it is too big and falls off.  Is the gripper a separate piece?  All I received was one piece, molded plastic.**
A: If your using it with an Elchim dryer then it will fit.  If your using it on a non brand Elchim then it may not fit then.  The grips are inside the neck of diffuse where you push it onto end of drier.

**Q: How does the cocoon dryer diffuser fit on elchim 2000**
A: I have the Elchim 2001, and it slides on the end, kept in place by rubber grippers.  I love it!  I use it every day, and it has never slipped or come off. It is a great diffuser !

The head of the diffuser attachment has silicone grip pieces. It's already designed to fit the Elchim hairdryers its compatible with (mine is the Elchim 2001), but the silicon pieces give it a nice tight fit. It's never fallen off or gotten loose while drying. I use the diffuser to dry my curls, and this attachment did the job nicely. I had voluminous and bouncy curls after drying. I'm glad I was able to find this product on Amazon, I had trouble finding it at the beauty supply retailers in my area.
