It has been especially useful for keeping tools, supplies, and extra gear in one spot without cluttering up my truck. Review: Excellent quality at a great price. Can be weather-sealed easily. - I got a couple of these for my camper van. One hold shoes & boots and the other one holds tools and spare parts. Although they're not fully waterproof, they do pretty well. To be safe, I used some weatherstripping to seal them up and now they are quite waterproof, though certainly not submersible. The lighter one of the two lives on my roof rack and has held up well to the elements and UV. That one has faded a bit in the Colorado sun, but doesn't seem to be suffering structurally at all. The other one is too heavy to lift up to my roof rack, so it lives in the van, but gets moved outside once I've found my campsite to make room. They are lockable, but would require two locks to secure, as you can lock one side and still open it from the other side, which is probably the only negative I can see. They do stack and "nest" very well. I did see these in a special edition once that already had weather sealing, but they sold out quickly and it's super easy to do it yourself for way less money. As I recall, I used 1/2" foam weatherstripping with the self-adhesive strip on one side, like you'd use to seal up a door. There's a perfect area inside the lid to apply the foam weather seal. I didn't choose black because I thought it would get really hot when exposed to direct sun. They are easily strong enough to sit on, but I don't think I'd chance standing on them.

**Q: does this one have the o-ring seal?**
A: The lid has a groove to install your own seal, I did that and use these cases all the time (canoeing, camping, etc) and they stay sealed and dry.

**Q: The interior dimensions listed don't seem right--you lose almost a full 10 inches in length??**
A: Capacity: 108 quarts. Exterior Dimensions: 37.75" X 18.25" X 14". Interior Dimensions: 34.75" X 16" X 13.5".

**Q: How many locks does it take to fully secure the lid?**
A: I have recently purchased and would suggest 2 total, one for each side. However, there are 4 lock-down latches, so you could use a total of 4...might depend on how secure you are needing this to be. I simply needed to keep coons out and the latches are working without adding any padlocks.

**Q: Would these be good to use for shipping materials to conference shows?**
A: yes depending on how heavy the material. We use it to take things to our cabin. My wife handles it with ease.

I got a couple of these for my camper van. One hold shoes & boots and the other one holds tools and spare parts. Although they're not fully waterproof, they do pretty well.
