Review: Very good for Indian spices, wet grinding and dry grinding, puree, nut butter in small quantity - Date of purchase: 08 Aug 2023 Date of review: 23 Jan 2024 Usage : approx 5 days a week Usage type : dry grinding of Indian spices, wet grinding for making puree, wet spices Product comes with a device that has the motor, a wet grinding jar and a dry grinding jar. The dry grinding jar is the most effective even for wet grinding. I guess that is because of the shape of the blades which continuously keeps things moving up and down inside the jar while spinning. I have used only for grinding spices - both wet and dry, veges and fruit puree for baby, coconut for coconut chutney and nut butter. Have not used for coffee beans so far. Pros 1. Though device has a small wattage, it exceptionally grinds well. I have not used it for more than 20 seconds at one go as per manufacturer's instructions but can achieve a fine grinding by approx 2 to 3 cycles. 2. Small jar, hence can grind things in small quantity. 3. Have tried - cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, peanuts - all works well 4. Have tried making peanut butter and almond butter. Bit of a crunchy texture on both. 5. Easy to clean jar and the lid. 6. Jar quality is good 7. Jar blades are sharp. Cons: While using the wet grinder sometimes (when too much of water) liquid comes out through the small gap between the device and the lid that goes into the device, which becomes a bit difficult to clean later on.
Review: A very well thought out grinder which works a treat. - Reasons why this grinder is so well thought out; 1) I bought this grinder to stop our coffee grinder being moved around on the counter. One of us uses our left hand to pour the grounds into the machine and the other uses their the right hand so the grinder was always in the wrong place! This grinder lets you take the cup out to pour the grounds into the coffee machine - problem solved! 2) The removable cup means this is really easy to keep clean, just make sure that you dry it well before using or you will have more difficulty pouring the grounds as they will stick. 3) The flex can be wound around a tidy in the base so you don't have cable everywhere. There is also a channel for the flex to come through so the grinder always stands flat even when you have wound lots of flex around the tidy. 4) The second cup (four blades instead of two, for grinding 'wet' things like herbs) can also be used to store the coffee scoop cum brush. 5) The coffee scoop has a handy brush moulded in to the handle which is great for cleaning around so you get every last bit of coffee. 6) The markers on the inside of the cup are really helpful to make sure that coffee is always around the same strength. The grinder makes a rather uneasy noise when working but I may just have got so used to our previous grinder. The grinder is neat and compact so doesn't take up much space, 8" (20.3cm) tall and 4" (10.1cm) in diameter. I am pleased with this grinder. Good purchase. Arrived quickly and everything works well. It comes packaged in its own picture box but I was offered the option of an desertcart box so if this will be a gift it can arrive incognito!!

**Q: How can you control the grind coarseness of the grind?**
A: Only by not grinding for very long if you want a more coarse result, blades and spin speed don't change

**Q: Hi will it grind flaxseed/linsead to a powder?**
A: Yes if it grinds coffee it should do that.

**Q: I make coffee just for me - one cup! Will this mill grind such a small amount successfully?**
A: I haven’t used this for coffee at all but it is an excellent machine and I think it would work. I ground a few almonds the other day for another enquiry and that worked well. I use it to grind a few spices and chillies and it works well for that.

**Q: How long do I need to press for a drop grind using a flat bottom filter?**
A: Try 15 sec.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good for the price.

Came very quick, easy to set up. Someone reviewed it as a very loud... I find it in the middle. Last grinder I had was in early 80's and it was loud (moulinex). On the very beginning I thought it will not achieve fine grind but it did. From past experience I know that powder likes to stick to the sides so gentle tapping with grinder helps to dislodge it and speed up the process. Blades could possibly have better shape as finest powder tends to sit below the blades travel creating a ring if powder which looks like burned (but it is not). Black disc under the blade (never seen this on any other I have seen). Seems to protect blades shaft from powder entering it but I'd rather say it is unnecessary and contributes to powder sitting underneath. This might pose problems with cleaning. Did not find it difficult though... Just have to bit more thorough instead of flushing it with water. Coffee leaves oily resitur you have to clean off anyway as it will get rancid at some point transferring a bitter taste to your powder. Motor gives some smell which is expected as it is high speed brushed motor. Cable retainer underneath to adjust cable lenght could be more efficient (wider) and body cut out could be tighter (cable tends to come down when grinder lifted) but I don't find it crucially disappointing. In general I am very happy with purchase.
