Really depends on how many coats you need. I based this on 4 coats the minimum I need to make a good mirror. **Q: Can this be polished to a high shine for a shiny metallic finish?** A: I think you have misunderstood how this works... it must be painted on to the back of glass. When you turn it over, you will have turned the glass into a mirror. This cant be used to spray on other surfaces in an attempt to make them mirror like. It was not formulated for that purpose. **Q: I notice some pictures in the reviews have light grey and other dark grey, why is that ?** A: It depends on how many layers you do. One layer is much lighter than say 3 layers. It will get darker depending on how many layers you do. **Q: Hi. Is the white gold like a champagne color or silver?** A: Hi. I would describe it as a champagne colour. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It’s all about the texture *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 28 April 2025* I took a chance of this as I wanted to use it on a radiator. It worked out perfect. It made the rad a lovely grey with texture making the rad seem much more contemporary than it actually is being a late 80’s standard white rad. ### ⭐⭐ Doesn't go very far. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 April 2026* I cannot see how this product covers adequately for 2 sq m. Possibly 1 sq m if you're lucky. ### ⭐ Avoid *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 December 2021* Amazon, as always, were great, paint arrived day after i ordered it, but the product itself was terrible.I bought 2 cans to spray an old gawdy gas fire, so it was less hideous until we rip it out and put in a new heating system next year. Thought i was going to get good quality with Rustoleum... sadly this product was a huge disappointment.I can't comment about durability or heat resistance, i've given them the benefit of the doubt on those points with a 5 for each, but ease of use and overall a 1.2 main problems:1. The nozzle on both cans was defective or it is of a defective design. Part way through spraying, it completely cuts out, even though theres 3/4 of the can left and you've shaken it like a beast. You have to take the nozzle off and put it back on a few times to get it back to life again, then once its back to life, it dumps a huge pile of paint ruining any hope you had of a drip-free smooth finish. Both cans did this several times, made the finish a total mess and made me wish i had bought a different brand.2. The colour i ended up with was more like a metallic silvery-grey, far lighter than the 'cast-iron' grey i was expecting and totally unsuitable.I will now have to buy alternative paint, darker and hopefully without a defective nozzle. I suggest you save yourself some drama and wasted expense by going straight for an alternative brand. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rust-Oleum 400ml Stove & BBQ Spray Paint - Cast Iron - Rust-Oleum AE0040004E8 400ml Painter's Touch Spray Paint - Gloss White - Rust-Oleum 150ml Mirror Effect Spray Paint - Silver --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/204642445-400ml-stove-and-bbq-spray-paint-cast-iron](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/204642445-400ml-stove-and-bbq-spray-paint-cast-iron) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
