Review: surprisingly excellent sound quality - the mic quality blows away my yetti snowball. the omi vs directional setting can be pretty useful depending what you are doing. the mic monitoring feature works very well with 0 delay at all. the only hiccup in that feature is that windows treats the mic like another speaker output but I think its probably the best way it can be handled without additional software, and if you know your way around windows audio options you can make everything work great. The mic also has a built in foam pop filter that so far seems to have worked great (though admittingly I use it indoors and tend not to sit super close to the mic) Also, I was honestly surprised at how nice the included stand is, in the sense that it seems to be SOLID extruded (maybe?) aluminum, anodized a nice black.

I re-tested the Mic by doing a screen recording in quicktime and the difference between this Mic and just using my AirPod Pros is fairly significant. It sounds better than the airpods from 18" away (normal video call distance), blows them out of the water at 6" away (great for screen recording), and at 3" away... well, even better than that. I paid $30 for this but I would've gladly paid $60. --- I got the Mic for $30 and I think it's a good deal at that price. However, I expected this thing to sound better than my AirPod Pros on video calls but they don't. To be clear, they COULD sound better than my airpods if I spoke directly into them 2" away from the mic, but that's simply not how people take calls. I gave it 4 stars because it's a great deal at $30 and i'll be using it to record things like Product Demos where it isn't odd that I'm close to the mic.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I understand the mute button is mechanical, but is there a noticeable click from the mute button when pressed?**
A: I'd say it is quite noticeable. I'd not use that button.

**Q: Can you use this with wireless Bluetooth headphones?**
A: maybe you can if you have a bluetooth receiver that you can plug it into.

**Q: Does this work as a speaker or the sound come from computer speakers?**
A: I have my PC speakers plugged into the microphone so I can just plug in the USB microphone to get audio in&out for whichever computer. It's a fantastic microphone.

**Q: Does this work for xbox**
A: No... at least not with the new Series X. I tested this out today. It plugs in, and receives power from the USB but it doesn't recognize that a mic is plugged in. This may be different with the older models, like Xbox One X, One S, or Xbox One but I don't have one handy to test. Even so, many gaming head sets are becoming wired through USB so support for it may come at some point in the future.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great budget microphone for both aspiring streamers and casual gamers.

This microphone used to be my go-to before I upgraded. It was super easy and simple to use, and sounded great as well. The features it has pair super well with streaming, namely being able to mute on a dime, and it's very versatile. Only needing USB-C to work, I feel like this is the best of the plug-and-play mics that you can get. While not the cream of the crop in terms of sound quality, it still is a good sounding microphone, and definitely top of its class in the sub-$30 or even sub-$50 price range. If you need a microphone on a budget get it. If you have a friend who needs a microphone on a budget, point them to it. It's well worth the money compared to other competitors.
