Designed for indoor use, it features an adjustable sensitivity knob, standard AC and audio jacks, and supports both incandescent and LED lights, making it the ultimate tool to create immersive thunderstorm atmospheres for parties, haunted houses, or events. ## Description Perfect Storm is a sound-activated device that allows you to control the on and off flashing of lights when the thunder sound from the CD supplied is played. This makes for great thunderstorm effects for your haunted house or home haunt/Halloween party. Simply play the CD provided with the unit with your lights plugged into the back of the Perfect Storm Box (which can be plugged into any 15 amp. 120 volt outlet). Please note that total lights used should not exceed 1000 watts of power or a reset fuse in the back of the unti will trip. If this happens, reduce lights used and hit reset button on back of unit. Besides using CD, you can also place whatever sound effect you wish into your tape player, MP3 player, smart phone etc and either place one of your stereo speakers near or in front of the Perfect Storm unit or connect the player audio line out (the proper jack cable may be needed, and is not included) to the Perfect Storm audio input jack. Using either of these two ways, when thunder is heard, lights will flash in synchronized fashion. Includes CD with over one hour of sound effects, CD player not included. Power input 120v/60 hz. Uses type 15A fuse. AC jack and audio jack. Round sensor knob on front of unit is adjustable to make lights flash to your liking. The Perfect Storm will work with a variety of different types of lights in including both incandescent and LED. (Not recommended for flourescent lights). For indoor use only. User instructions included. ## Features - Controller Features: Flashes up to 1000 watts of lights synchronized with thunder sounds from included CD with over one hour of effects - Compatibility: Works with various light types including incandescent and LED lights, not recommended for fluorescent lights - Power Specifications: Operates on 120v/60 hz power input with 15A fuse protection and AC jack functionality - Audio Options: Compatible with CD player, tape player, MP3 player, or smartphone through audio input jack or speaker proximity - Adjustable Settings: Features adjustable round sensor knob for customizing light flash intensity and timing - Safety Features: Includes reset button and automatic fuse trip protection when exceeding 1000-watt power limit - Usage Requirements: Designed specifically for indoor use with detailed user instructions included for proper operation ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0094OK9JU | | Additional Features | Sound-Activated | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,830 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #9 in Stage Lighting Accessories | | Brand | Morris Costumes | | Built-In Media | Software CD | | Color | Multi | | Compatible Devices | Speaker, Headphone | | Connectivity Technology | Auxiliary | | Connector Type | AC, audio jack | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 705 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00841493077144 | | Headphones Jack | audio jack | | Included Components | Software CD | | Item Weight | 1.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | Morris Costumes | | Media Format Type | Audio CD | | Mfr Part Number | VA621 | | Model Name | Perfect Storm Box | | Model Number | IN-VA621 | | Number Of Discs | 1 | | Number of Channels | 1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Software Update Supported to Date | unknown | | Special Feature | Sound-Activated | | Specific Uses For Product | Home | | Supported Audio Format | MP3 | | UPC | 841493077144 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Morris Costumes - **Color:** Multi - **Connectivity Technology:** Auxiliary - **Special Feature:** Sound-Activated - **Included Components:** CD ## Images ![Morris Costumes Perfect Storm 2.0 Box Lightning and Thunder Special Effects Machine - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51zU1RKSaHL.jpg) ![Morris Costumes Perfect Storm 2.0 Box Lightning and Thunder Special Effects Machine - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Ur5AMSsJL.jpg) ![Morris Costumes Perfect Storm 2.0 Box Lightning and Thunder Special Effects Machine - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Owq8IPUVL.jpg) ![Morris Costumes Perfect Storm 2.0 Box Lightning and Thunder Special Effects Machine - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zg1ZTl5oL.jpg) ![Morris Costumes Perfect Storm 2.0 Box Lightning and Thunder Special Effects Machine - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61drIffKkCL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you mix a loud high frequency tone in before each thunder on a thunderstorm recording, to cause the lights to flash before the thunder?** A: Here's what I do: Use Audacity (google it -- it's an open source audio editor that is really easy to use) to open the thunder MP3 audio file. Move the Left channel (L for lightning) slightly ahead in the timing of the audio. If you want to get really fancy, move the quieter thunder farther ahead and the really big claps (closer storm) just ahead or right on top of the Right (for rain) channel). That will mimic nature more. Then when you output the sound, use a left/right splitter adapter (like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000068O5H/) to send the thunder (Right) to the speaker and the lightning (Left) to the Perfect Storm box. This will flash the lightning first and will do it with an intensity that matches the audio. **Q: does the product comes with a cd** A: Yes it did but you have to have a separate player with a decent sound system to play it the microphone needs to be close to a speaker. **Q: is it on a cd for sound activated and continuios and for how long** A: Yes, it comes with a CD. It lasts about 45 minutes long. The system worked great. I used it as a Halloween effect. **Q: Can this operate multiple lights or only one per unit?** A: Multiple lights. You just have to hook up power stick or extension cord with several outlets. There is a maximum wattage permitted, but if you use LED lamps, you can plug lots of them in. ## Frequently Bought Together - Morris Perfect Storm Box Lightning And Thunder Effects Machine - Luditek Mini Halloween White LED Strobe Light, Sound Activated Flash Speed Control Party Light with 36 Super Bright LEDs Stage Lighting for Room Dance Parties Birthday DJ Karaoke Xmas Outside Inside - FogWorx Extreme High Density Fog Juice - Quart – 32 Fluid Ounces of Long Lasting, High Output, Odorless Water Based Machine Fluid for 400 to 1500 Watt Machines --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/20256640-morris-costumes-perfect-storm-2-0-box-lightning-and-thunder](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/20256640-morris-costumes-perfect-storm-2-0-box-lightning-and-thunder) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
