I have replaced the older ones because of Audible. If it’s too old you can still use it but you’ll get an older version which doesn’t give you your full library. I still use my older ones and I have one I bought in Sept. 2022. Now I’ve just bought another. I don’t have an I phone. I haven’t had any other problems with apps being too old.
