With great steel and the right forging and tempering to the steel you can't go wrong. I don't normally post blades in feedback, but feel these guys should see what is made with their steel. First time trying to make a knife. Have only used a grinder so far. Cut wheel quarter inch grind wheel and flap disk. My first one turned out awful cuz I'm still learning but other two are OK. Stil have a ton of work to do before heat treat but so far the steel is soft like puppy chit and easy to work with so I'm happy about that. Will update after I'm done with finishing details and heat treat. Can't speak for ht or longevity. 1095 is not corrosion resistant so it rusts quickly so I would recommend bluing or dip to protect the steal unless you're going to take care of it frequently .I bought this because I've wanted to do it for a while and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
