When the 2nd generation breeds, the colors get diluted more ... and so on. **Q: Can these live with a betta fish?** A: Yes and no. If you get big ones the betta wont be able to eat them. But ive had betta fish mixed with shrimp and you just kinda have to take your chances to see how your betta will react with them. Mine didnt eat them, more or so befriended them. **Q: Are male and female guaranteed in the pack?** A: There is bound to be at least a pair out of the 8 and better chances there are several pairs. To increase the odds the more you order of these great little creatures the better the chances of getting several pairs. I have ordered four different types of shrimp from Aqua Huna. All arrived alive and are still doing well. **Q: How can they be delivered on a weekend when I’m home!?** A: Because I am in South Texas, my preference is to have them ship via the USPS and NOT have them delivered. But pick them up at the post office, so they are not in a hot truck all day or left out in the heat. Aqua Huna uses the USPS and does not ship on certain days, to avoid weekend deliveries. This increases the probability of your fish arriving alive. If they are delivered to the post office and held there, it is indoors. You could then pick up on Saturday, if necessary. Don’t purchase if delivery is by UPS. When UPS deliver live fish and plants here, they have no problem leaving the packages out in 100+ Degree full sun. They were darting all around the bag when I opened it, 8 shrimp, as ordered, all alive. I am VERY pleased with how this transaction went. You always expect a casualty or two when dealing with live aquatic animal purchases but not this time! Also, side note, the shrimp were the perfect age.
