I needed a replacement for a stolen Leatherman Wave, so I decided to order both and do a little comparison. First up, the 801 is the 'S' updated version, so some issues in earlier reviews you may find have been fixed. For example, the saw blade has been given a locking mechanism, and the position of the can opener has been moved for a better action. Overall they are both reassuringly solid, well-built tools.
