Review: Reliable Hardrives - I've purchased 3 of these 4TB external hardrives over the past 12 months and they are proving to be reliable. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the plastic casing. Previous to this I've purchased 3 of the "Business Grey" 4TB seagate external hardrives. Which you would think to be the same internal drive but with a nicer outer casing with an aluminium casing on the top. These are more expensive! and not as reliable as the cheaper black plastic casing above. So I will always order the cheaper 4TB as from now. All 3 of my "Business Grey" drives always have "error" messages when 1st playing a movie on the "Sumvision Cycline Micro 2+ 4K media player? Without fail, but after the 1st error message the files play OK. I don't have this problem with these cheaper black casing 4TB hardrives. Avoid the nicer looking, more expensive "Business Grey" drives and I would highly recommend these drives instead as they seem to be more reliable and not as sensitive. *Update* July 2026 All Seagate drives are working well and since my last review I've purchased another x2, so I now have 5 of these in total. With all my drives i always stick on small 6.4mm x 1.9mm clear rubber feet from the "Happy Bananas Store" "The Sticky-Stuff Company". These help in 2 ways, they stop the drives from sliding around and also lift the drive from the surface they are sitting on. This prevents heat build up and allows heat on the base of the drive to disperse. I have x14 seagate drives and x18 WD drives mostly 4TB. Last year within a 6 month period x4 of my WD drives failed! With no heavy use. I wrote a bad review on them. I wouldn't purchase another WD drive again. None of my seagate drives have failed or caused any problems so far, so seagate will be my choice always in the future as they have proven to be much more reliable than WD drives.

Your Mac Studio has Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. 
So the answer is a it will definitely connect to your Mac but you may need to format it for the use you intend to put it to.

A: It depends on the camcorder and the cables you have available. The camcorder will be able to write directly onto the hard drive if it is connected while the recording is taking place.

**Q: Can i use this for PS4 pro?**
A: Yes this can be used with a ps4 pro

**Q: I would like to know if you can store playstation 5 games on to this Drive**
A: I do not own a PS5, sorry, but having had a look, I believe that this would work for a PS5 though.
You can run PS4 games directly from an external drive on PS5.
You can store PS5 games on the external drive too.
But to play PS5 games I believe you will have to move/copy the games from the external drive to the internal one.
For PS5 games the external drive is only a storage drive, saving downloading the game every time you want to play it.
When you are short of space on your main/internal drive, you can make space by moving some games from internal to external.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not hard to drive

Bought because my last hard drive was used with a Windows computer and wasn't recognised by my new Apple MacBook Air which, for me, is a learning curve. Anyway, I decided rather than reformat the old hard drive and possibly corrupt/lose music, photos, documents etc. I'd buy a new one. The last one is a Seagate, which I've had for years, so I expect some longevity from the new one. What I found was that I had to reformat the hard drive from a Windows setting to suit the Apple Macbook. Once I discovered how this was achieved it was plain sailing. The hard drive is compact, makes no noise (though I'm apparently a bit deaf), looks good, has been reliable and has held data with no issues (I'm now past the half way storage mark).
