Review: A very nice low-current DC clamp-on meter. Awful battery compartment. - I had a AEMC CM605 meter before this. It worked fine for AC, but drifted pretty wildly for any DC measurements, sometimes shifting by something like 50-100 mA while just sitting there on the desk for 5 minutes. The Amprobe clamp is dramatically better, and actually lets you take measurements of low DC currents with confidence. But gotta say, this unit has the most cumbersome battery compartment of any gadget in recent memory. Opening it is a pain, cramming in a new battery is a pain, and there's plenty of opportunities to accidentally damage the battery clip leads when putting it back together. It's not something you have to do often, but what the heck, Amprobe?

Seems like a quality tool. Reads exactly the same as in-series Fluke meter. Not a huge deal, but I felt it’s worth mentioning that no case was included with the LH41A as indicated in the product description.
