**Q: I'm just looking for a round base mic stand that has the heaviest base. Would this be my best buy?**
A: On-stage MS9212 9.25lbs base.  15 lbs, in box
Gator GFW-MIC-1201 7.35lbs base.  11 lbs, in box

The OS extension stand is heavier than the Gator.  Roughly 1 lb more.
On-stage is the more sturdy, heavier of the above 2 stands.

**Q: Can the stand unscrew for the base? We're looking for an extension to use as our Shure antennae base extension.**
A: Hello, Yes the Stand is removable from the base. However, we have not tested our stand as a counter-part to the Shure Antennae Base Extension.
