**Q: I ride a ''pony'' I'm wondering will this be too big? I have had past experience with half pads and saddle pads being too big**
A: It depends on your saddle size. The pad sticks out roughly 2" on my 16.5 English saddle. I posted a picture for reference in the reviews. The black/white horse. He is roughly 16 hands

A: I works for western as well , just put it between saddle and pad , wish I could post the pic of it .
