The size is nice, it holds the cans in place, it's tells you when the can as completed opening, it will give off a high pitched sound. There is no sharpness around the lid as you remove, it's very smooth and it comes off the can easily. I like the design, style, and color. It's very durable, the price is right. Now if you could make a hand can opener that is just as easy to open like this one for people that have arthritis, and when the power goes out and you have no electricity. The can opener is very hard to turn. Maybe battery operated and a touch of a button to get it started. (Just a suggestion) Overall this can opener is great. I had my first one for many years and gave it to my daughter who needed one moving into her first home. In all the years I had this opener I never had a problem. Mine is a beautiful black and silver. I can put the can I am opening in place, pull the handle down and take my hand away. It opens the can automatically and the can stays attached until I remove it. It has such a tight grip. I have never had any spills or dropped cans. It is very reasonably priced and made of strong material that holds up for years. It is plug in, not battery operated. I never had problems with a dull blade and just wiped it with a cloth after each use. This is why I chose to purchase this exact same item again.
