     This perch arrived wrapped in a newspaper and the perch itself is disintegrating. All of the sand that is supposed to cover it in order to help keep parrots claws trimmed came off on the newspaper inside and is everywhere additionally big holes are in this thing that aren't supposed to be in it

Solid construction. My yellow napped amazon enjoys this perch and it has helped to trim his beak up. He uses it to remove food from his beak after eating as well. If you purchase the large or extra large perch you want to make sure your bars on the cage are sturdy because it is heavy and may bend them. It is worth the price and last for a very long time. Our mini macaw has started grinding his beak on it as well so it can be used no matter the size of perch for both small and large birds.

I am a big fan of the Polly's products so was kind of disappointed when this specific perch arrived broken.I already have 4 Polly calcium perches and was trying to give a try to the nail filing one but is damaged.
