## Overview

The RCBS Pro 2000 Auto Index Progressive Press is a top-tier ammunition reloading solution, designed for both rifles and pistols. With its precision engineering and robust construction, this press ensures a reliable and efficient reloading experience, making it an essential tool for any serious hunter or shooting enthusiast.

## Description

RCBS specializes in offering a complete line of reloading supplies for the home hand loader. RCBS Reloader Supplies set the standard for high-quality reloading equipment - just as they've done for over 60 years. With six decades of experience under their belt, RCBS knows all the ins and outs of the gear used by the home ammunition reloader. The brass case is the most expensive part of a loaded round of ammo. Reloading brass (by replacing the primer, powder and bullet inside the used brass casing) offers savings of about 60% over factory-loaded ammunition. RCBS handloading supplies provide shooters with everything needed to re-use expensive brass cartridge cases by reloading them with new primer, powder and bullets.

Review: Massive press, over built, this will last several lifetimes! - I have been loading for 35 years. My first press was an RCBS Rockchucker. I added the original Piggyback, and later upgraded to the Piggyback 2. I have loaded over 100,000 rounds. I bought the Pro 2000 because I wanted to load longer cartridge cases on a progressive. This is an incredible product, and will load for a lifetime of service. I had it set up in about an hour including reading all of the instructions. I did the setup on my first caliber, 270 Winchester. After setup, I was up and loading. I cranked out 100 rounds in about 15 minutes, including random powder checks. I am very happy with this press, it is massive and dwarfs my Rockchucker! I have both of them set up on my bench, and I am very happy with them both.
Review: Jamming issues, too time consuming for serious press - Although this reloading press does have some very good features (primer removal & collection, ability to have rapid switch out of all caliber-specific dies, general speed, etc), its APS primer system is very clunky and too problematic for a serious reloader. Setting up the press and adjusting to a new load environment will take many hours and fine tuning your loading process has a medium timed learning curve. The APS system is just not viable. Too many damaged primers, too often the plastic strip is crushed or bent by misfeed and then removing the strip is a time consuming hassle. In my opinion, the APS system is so bad that it ruins all the other good features. I could never recommend this press and would never use it again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it come with the Accessory Base (Plate-2)**
A: No it does not come with the Accessory base plate #2

**Q: What else do I have to buy in order to start reloading (besides primer strips, powder, casings and bullets?)**
A: Get a good electronic scale and micrometer and case prep tools for your caliber. Also you will need a shell plate and dies for your caliber. Also at least one reloading book or load data from the powder mfg. I would look at load data before selecting powder.

**Q: do all the plastic green boxes come with this?? Also does everything in the picture come with this reloader???**
A: The 2 plastic boxes come with the press, one for brass and one for finished rounds. The powder measure also comes with it, but you have to buy a shellholder "wheel" for every caliber that you reload, and to make die setup quick, you should get a die plate for each set of dies. The primer system comes with it, with all sizes of primer strips. It's a great system, but plan to spend some more money, depending on how many different calibers you plan to reload. Frank

**Q: how are rifle bullets fed into this system, i see where the pistol bullet are fed.**
A: You have to place each bullet on the case at the last station, unless you buy a very expensive bullet feeder seperate from the press.

*by A***R on March 1, 2016*

Set up this press and its always something. First the auto primer feeding system would misfeed primers, I was having primers fall into the cracks of the machine, just a pain in the ass. Next I'm having problems with the auto indexing system. If I tighten the bolt it wont advance. if its slightly loose it works itself too loose. I called customer service 3 x was on hold over 10 minutes. They want to send me a different shoulder bolt but since I live in NY it will take 15 days!! Sorry to say this is a piece of junk. Going to un bolt it and get a Dillon.
