I’ve used other razor combs using double edge safety razors and the blade that came with this is definitely sharp so I use the same brand of razor blades too. What I like better about this hair shaper over razor combs is that the guard on this is like a comb on one side of the blade. It protects from the sharp blade but allows hair to fall easily and not get trapped. The razor combs I tried get hair trapped inside the comb so you have to open it up to clean out the hair. They both cut hair but this is much easier to use because hair doesn’t get clogged up inside. Another benefit is that you can use this without the guard to shave like a straight razor.
