The business we rent the tubes from usually allow us to have an oar to use to push away from the banks or fallen trees during our adventures...until they didn't. "You will just go in circles." Not when we tether 3 tubes together into a triangle (gotta have one for the cooler) kinda need some assistance to get us out of jams. The last trip of the season in 2024 I bought this while floating down the river...we were using a stick and it helped, but just wasn't the same. We got to use the paddle today and it worked like a charm!!! Will never lazy river float without it. Easy to extend out to push off of logs/banks and even with the current pushing us the paddle never buckled, bent, collapsed...very durable. Highly recommend.
