Review: Workhorse of a lock. Long battery life. Highly recommend after two years of use. - Workhorse of a basic lock! We bought this two years ago, hoping basic equal better. It has paid off! Battery life is solid, counted in months, not weeks. Consistently works for a family of four’s main entrance. It opens and closes at least 10 times a day often 20+. Like with all auto locks, you sometimes need to fiddle with the strike plate because it has to align perfectly. You cannot be required to push or pull on your door handle to line it up. If you have an old house in an old door, this might not be a great solution for you. But we installed the new door and frame recently and this works perfectly day in and day out.

Workhorse of a basic lock! We bought this two years ago, hoping basic equal better. It has paid off! Battery life is solid, counted in months, not weeks. Consistently works for a family of four’s main entrance. It opens and closes at least 10 times a day often 20+. Like with all auto locks, you sometimes need to fiddle with the strike plate because it has to align perfectly. You cannot be required to push or pull on your door handle to line it up. If you have an old house in an old door, this might not be a great solution for you. But we installed the new door and frame recently and this works perfectly day in and day out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ As good as anything at this price

Easy to install and works well. Not crazy about the buttons, which sometimes take a press or two to register. But there's a light that shows the button press and usually they're fine. I did have an issue where a gear inside the mechanism was seizing up, about a week after installing. I took apart the lock and re-seated the gear with a pair of pliers. So far so good and it hasn't happened again.
