I have to specify because the reviews for multiple products are lumped together.This is a two-piece jack. After you insert the wires into the guide you put the guide into the jack and crimp. This is not easy to get the hang of, especially if you have never used a two-piece jack before.I strongly recommend finding a video demonstrating how to use this. But I will give you a couple of quick tips. First, get your wires straightened out and in the right order, then cut them at an angle so the end of each wire is a little shorter than the one before it. This will make sliding the wires into the guide MUCH easier. It's nearly impossible to do if they are cut straight across.Then push the guide down and trim the wires at the other end of the guide, but right against the guide. Now the wires are all straight and go right up to the end of the guide. Finally push the guide all the way into the jack and crimp. If you did it right you'll have a properly terminated cable.Be sure you have the guide in the correct direction before you insert the wires. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pass the test *by H***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2019* I have used a lot of RJ45 connectors over the years in my field and these are by far the best I've ever used. The load bar is pass-through but the connector itself is not, which works well. I have a number of crimpers and they have worked in all types we have.These snap and lock into patch panels, routers, switches, etc., like you want.Pros:+ Load bars w/pass through+ Easy to load+ Easy to identify load bar direction with the grooved top edge.+ Load bar loads easily into the plug+ Bonus punch down tool for those that need one...Cons:+ Not many if any extra load bars... ### ⭐⭐ Beware, not your typical RJ-45 connector!!! *by O***1 on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2020* When I purchased those I didn't even notice that they come in 2 pieces and they require double the work vs regular RJ-45 connectors. I purchased them because they claimed to be gold plated and they weren't pass through, since I've had bad experience with a few different brands of pass-through connectors. Beware that these connectors have 2 parts and if you misplace the bag with the wire "guides" or if you loose any guides along the way, the RJ-45s by themselves are unusable! Also, the so called "guides" significantly slow down the crimping process, and as an IT professional who makes 20-30 of these on my jobs, this is a big disadvantage! When I have to install cameras in uncomfortable locations like poles, or high buildings, and while on a ladder or hanging from a roof, it is just impossible to look for the 2 pieces in my pocket and then to crimp a proper connection with these!
