Just pop open the latches on the case and pull the handle upward -- it slides so easily you could probably do it with just one finger. When you're done, push it back down, close the lid, and stow the case out of the way wherever you want it. It holds securely at whatever height you stop it at, and with the built-in stabilizer feet it keeps its balance very well, too. Very satisfied with my purchase.The only drawback is that like others have mentioned, it's a bit narrow, even if it doesn't look like it. It's really only big enough for a single person, and even then you'll need to be pretty close to it.
