## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For those who like organs

*by M***E on 17 January 2013*

Very good value for money. While I am not a fan of organ music, this certainly provides a variety of swinging organ sounds from t1957 to 1960. The eight albums are Jimmy Smith at the Organ Volume 1 (1957) with Lou Donaldson and Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Smith Plays Pretty Just For You (1957) with Eddie McFadden (guitar), Jimmy Smith At The Organ Volume 2 (1957) with Donaldson & Burrell again, Midnight Special (1961) with Stanley Turrentine & Burrell, Softly As A Summer Breeze (1960) with McFadden & Burrell sharing the guitar roles, The Sermon (1958) with Lee Morgan, Donaldson, George Coleman, Tina Brooks, Crazy Baby (1960) with Quentin Warren (guitar), Home Cookin' (1960) with Burrell & on some tracks Percy France (tenor sax).. The tracks tend to be extended with the maximum of 20 minutes for The Sermon itself.,

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy listening

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grind that Organ!

A good compilation of late 50s early 60s cool organ jazz that sadly seems to have gone out of fashion
