I didn't fall in so I never actually got to test it's water durability, but my son did and though he was probably only in the water for a total of 45 seconds his phone remained dry. We wore them around our neck whiled paddling away for hours and it was great because they were handy if we needed them to take a quick photo. The clear plastic makes it easy to swipe and punch in passwords and so forth. A great purchase!
