## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why is there no sound after plugging in?**
A: Make sure the plug is pushed in all the way until you feel it click. A partial connection may look inserted but will not transmit audio properly. Push firmly until it stops.

**Q: My iPhone asks what device I connected. What should I choose?**
A: Select “Other Device”, not “Headphones”. If audio still behaves incorrectly, restart the phone once so it reinitializes the connection.

**Q: Does this work with Lightning and USB-C phones?**
A: Yes, but make sure you choose the correct edition. For Android phones and USB-C iPhones, get the USB-C Edition (this one). For Lightning iPhones, choose the Lightning Bundle. Devices with a 3.5 mm headphone jack are always supported.

**Q: Does the handset have its own volume or mute buttons on the handle?**
A: To keep the authentic classic design, the handset does not have extra buttons. You simply control the call volume and mute functions directly from your smartphone or computer. Just plug it in, adjust your phone volume, and enjoy your call.

**Q: Can I use this handset to listen to my music or watch movies?**
A: The handset is acoustically optimized specifically for voice calls to give you the exact feel of a classic telephone. While you can hear audio from videos, it uses mono sound and is not designed to replace your stereo headphones for playing music.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice replica, but not 100% with audio
*by M***C on October 18, 2026*

Easy to use, and the sound quality on the device itself is great! On the other end (the person you call, or who is calling you) the sound is not quite as clear as without the retro handset. But still clear and audible, just not as rich in sound depth as with the iPhone's built-in microphone. One other little thing - on a traditional handset you can hear your own voice in the earpiece as you talk. This device does not do that. Not a big deal, but to make it truly "retro" the manufacturer should have included that capability.
