This is my first pair of Dr Martens. I wear USA women's 7. I ordered UK 5 as suggested from the Dr Martens size and fit page. The UK 5 was too big. I added the Dr Marten's Comfort Insoles, my heel was still quite loose in the boots. With thick socks, and the added insoles, the UK 5 could have worked. However, I ordered down to UK 4 and it's a perfect fit. These boots are soft leather. They are not greasy, waxy or oily. The zipper placement makes it an easy on, easy off boot. For me the UK 4 is a very comfortable boot as is, without needing to change out insoles for comfort reasons only.I bought Wonder Balsam to care for them with. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ very soft leather *by H***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2019* The boots seem a little used, not worn but some minor scuffs, etc. I would have preferred an 81/2 but since I wear these with heavy socks, the 9 is okay and 7UK is a true US9, no worries on that issue. My dog stole one. I didn’t know how much I use these until my dog lost one outside. Amazon Please bring them back! I was shocked they aren’t available anymore. I hope that’s temporary because I’m having withdrawals .They are so convenient with the zipper and they go with most of my styles clothing. They are super comfortable after you have broken them in.
